Water Jet Glass Cutting

Water jet cut glass proceeded by technology that utilizes high-pressure water streams for glass cutting. The primary working principle involves pressurizing ordinary water to an extremely high pressure of 250-400 MPa and then ejecting it through a tiny nozzle to form a high-speed jet stream with a velocity of approximately 800-1000 m/s. This high-speed jet stream possesses significant energy, enabling it to cut holes of various sizes and shapes. However, due to the excessive pressure of the water, thinner glass may not withstand the process and could break during cutting. Therefore, water jet cutting is generally applied to glass with a thickness of 3mm or more.

Glass Laser Drilling

Laser drilling glass processing operates based on pre-loaded product designs and perform drilling hole in flat glass. The laser generates high-energy beams that are focused into a tiny spot by an optical system, striking the glass surface. This process creates high temperatures in a very short time, forming small bubbles and eventually causing the glass to crack. The entire drilling process is completed through the movement of the worktable and the continuous laser pulses.The advantages of laser glass drilling machines include their high precision and environmental friendliness. They offer greater flexibility in processing various glass thicknesses and drilling different hole sizes.
