Automated Mechanical Cutting

The working principle of a glass cutting machine primarily involves the cutting head being driven by the motor in the cutting mainframe, in conjunction with the movement of the worktable, to achieve precise cutting of glass materials. The cutting head typically uses high-precision diamond tools to create a fine crack on the glass surface, exploiting the low tensile strength of glass. The stressed area then fractures due to the tensile stress, completing the glass cutting process. Mechanical cutting offers fast speeds and the greatest versatility in choosing glass thickness, making it the most mainstream cutting method currently in use.

Laser Glass Cutting

Laser cutting operates based on pre-loaded designs in the computer. High-energy density laser beams scan the glass surface according to the specified dimensions of the design. The intense heat causes the glass to evaporate, forming a narrow groove. Then, by applying a certain amount of pressure, the glass material splits along the groove, thus completing the shape cutting process. Laser cutting offers high precision, allowing for the accurate cutting of various shapes.
